Rothamsted is a world leading, non-profit research centre focusing on strategic agricultural science to benefit farmers and society. It is the oldest continually operating agricultural research station in the world, established in 1843.

We will have a guided walk covering historic sample archive, insect survey traps, infield plant phenotyping, national willow collection GM/GE plant breeding plots and long term experiments.

Followed by lunch in their café, then a talk, the subject to be decided later depending on availability of their staff.
