Description
The Royal Navy Submarine Museum traces the international history of submarine development and particularly the history of the Royal Navy Submarine Service from the Navy’s first submarine Holland 1 to the nuclear powered Vanguard-class submarines.
HMS Alliance, a post war Amphion-class hunter-killer submarine is now the Navy’s training and static display submarine.
Programme for the day:
8.25 am leave Cirencester by coach, location in Cirencester will be advised when you book.
10.45am Tour of HMS Alliance led by an ex-submariner
11.45am Free time in the Museum
12.30 Lunch
1.30pm Talk by a submarine expert
2.30 pm Free time in the Museum
4.00pm leave to return to Cirencester
Cost for the visit, including coach travel and lunch, is £48.00 pp.
CSTS has to pay for this visit 10 days before we go, therefore it is essential bookings and payment are made by Thursday 6th September, no bookings will be accepted after this date.
