Visitors to this website who wish to join the Society should download the Membership Application Form.  Complete the Form and send it to the Membership Secretary (whose address is given on the form).

The most convenient way to pay your subscription is by Standing Order; you can download the Standing Order form, or you can generally set it up via your internet banking website using sort code 40-52-40, account no. 00016646 and including 'sub' and your name as the payment reference.

Alternatively your subscription can be paid by cheque for the appropriate amount made payable to CSTS and sent with your application to the Membership Secretary, or handed in at the next talk.

Meeting Venues

The venue for each meeting is given in the Programme of Lectures and Meetings on the Programme page.

Most meetings are held at the Royal Agricultural University (RAU), which is situated close to the junction of the A419 (Cirencester to Stroud road) and the A433 (Cirencester to Bath road) on the south-west edge of Cirencester.  The entrance to the main car park is off the A419.

The joint RAU-CSTS Public lecture is usually given in the Boutflour Hall in October. The lecture theatres are signposted.

The Emrys Jones Lecture Theatre and
Parkinson Lecture Theatre are found by parking in the main car park, and following the path on the right-hand side of the Garner Lecture Theatre building which we have used in the past.     The first entrance on the right leads to the Parkinson Lecture Theatre (17 on the map), the third, a glass-fronted modern entrance, leads to the Emrys Jone Lecture Theatre (off the Atrium Café, 27 on the map).

Some meetings are held at Ashcroft Church, at the junction of Ashcroft Road and Ashcroft Gardens

The December Meeting and some other meetings are sometimes held in The Cirencester Parish Centre in the centre of Cirencester.  It is located in a small yard off Gosditch Street, about 150m from the traffic lights at the Parish Church.
